LADbible partnered with Kasabian to launch the world’s first Facebook Live music video, for their new single, ‘Are You Looking For Action’.
The concept challenges the existing structure of current music video production and re-writes the rules known in the music and film industries. Co-directed by Aitor Throup (the designer and art-director for For Crying Our Loud) and Sing J Lee, the video was filmed live in one continuous take and streamed simultaneously across LADbible’s and Kasabian’s Facebook pages at 7:00pm.
“The beauty and magic of this video will be the fact that all outfit changes and camera moves will happen live,” Serge, Kasabian’s guitarist and songwriter, said. “We wanted to nail it, but we are also excited about the mistakes.”
Filmed in a secret East London location, the video followed Serge and lead singer Tom Meighan in a hazy nightclub setting in front of a crowd of onlookers. We promoted the video using Instagram stories and an on-site article, and amplified the content by leveraging other channels in LADbible Group’s network, such as LADbible Australia, STUDENTbible and Pretty 52.
Our live stream was watched by 437,000+ people and gained 10K+ engagements on Facebook from live viewers.
