LADbible Group will join Manchester United FC and the BBC on a high-profile panel to showcase the city of Manchester as a leading hub of technology and innovation.
The panel at the world’s largest tech conference, SXSW in Austin, Texas, is hosted by the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, and will explore how smart data technology, social media and digital engagement is revolutionising the fan experience.
Mayor Andy Burnham described the event as “a proud moment for Greater Manchester as we continue to cement our position as one of the best technologically advanced cities in Europe”.
Manchester is the largest digital and tech hub outside London specialising in ecommerce, cyber security, big data and FinTech, with over 7,500 companies employing 82,300 people.
LADbible Group is one of the city’s biggest tech success stories. Founded less than 6 years ago, by Solly Solomou and Arian Kalantari – two friends from Stockport – it has grown to become the world’s biggest entertainment and news social publisher for millennials, with over 63m followers on social media alone.
