ARE GEN Z AND YOUTH CONSUMERS CHANGING THEIR SHOPPING HABITS THIS CHRISTMAS?

With inflation soaring and the economy being a worry for so many, Gen Z and youth consumers may be altering their behaviours this Christmas. This means trends such as starting their Christmas shopping earlier, buying own label products vs branded ones and also spending time shopping around to find the best value will be important factors in this change. Plus they will also be looking to social media for tips and inspiration when it comes to saving money.

We’ve done some research to help brands understand how consumers shopping behaviours are changing, and how social plays a role in this – from awareness right the way through to purchase.

As part of our analysis on the findings we have looked at the research through the following 3 key pillars which help us understand our audience’s shopping habits through the deep dive survey results, video interviews and eye tracking.

-CHRISTMAS MAY BE DIFFERENT THIS YEAR

-CHRISTMAS SHOPPING STARTS EARLY

-SOCIAL CAN PUSH CONSUMERS DOWN THE FUNNEL AT CHRISTMAS
